Disability Employment Services
Are you looking for work? Do you have a disability? The Australian Government understands looking for work can be difficult and offers employment assistance to help make it easier for you to find and secure work.
Since 1 March 2010, Disability Employment Services have introduced a two program model:

Unlike the previous Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Disability Employment Network programs, the two new programs are not capped which means there is no limit to how many people can access the service.
If you do not already have a current assessment of your work capacity, you will generally need to be assessed by a Job Capacity Assessment Provider before being able to access these services. The Job Capacity Assessment Provider can then refer you to the Disability Employment Services.
For customers volunteering for employment assistance this Job Capacity Assessment will not be used to review your eligibility for Disability Support Pension.
For more information about the new Disability Employment Services, visit the Centrelink website at www.centrelink.gov.au, call 13 2717 or visit a Centrelink Customer Service Centre.
