Free hearing services for young Australians
Did you know that from 1 January 2012 you may be eligible for Australian Hearing’s free young adult program until your twenty sixth birthday?
The young adult program offers a range of free services, such as rehabilitation, hearing aid fitting and cochlear implant speech processor upgrades. This program previously had a cut off age of 21 which has been extended as a result of 2011 Federal Budget announcements.
To be eligible to access the young adult program, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, have not yet turned 26 years of age and have a confirmed hearing loss.
You can find out more about Australian Hearing’s young adult program by calling your local Australian Hearing centre on 131 797 view the ahyoungadults.com.au website. For more information about Australian Hearing please refer to hearing.com.au
