Become a volunteer and make a difference in your community

Getting involved and helping with events and activities can be exciting, rewarding and make a difference to the community. Marymead in Canberra is a community organisation supporting families in need and people with a disability. Late last year some people from  the local community helped out at Marymead and totally transformed an outdoor area at one of their on-site houses. The houses are used for people to stay in while they are taking part in Marymead’s live‑in programs.

Marymead shared these photos with Pulse which show the yard before, during and after the activity and what a difference volunteers can make in a day.
